Great news: PRINCE2 6th Edition

As of 1 January 2020

I have been a fan of PRINCE2, since I obtained a certificate in 2000¹⁾. The methodology is very logic, based on best practices and contains great checklists.

So this is good news, as the last version dated back to 2017. Oh, wait … It's just a rebranding of that same old stuff.

As of 1 January 2020, AXELOS has renamed PRINCE2® 2017 (the most recent updates to the PRINCE2 certification) to PRINCE2 6th Edition. This name change is not an update in itself — PRINCE2 6th Edition is a rebrand and doesn’t come with any changes to the PRINCE2 2017 course material or exams.

I wonder, does rebranding count as a deliverable according to PRINCE2?

Anyway, jokes aside, I think PRINCE2-2017 (or 6th Edition) is already very complete and probably doesn't need updating.
